Permanent-magnet sheet metal spreading magnets are primarily used in the sheet metal processing industry. They enable the top sheets of a sheet metal stack to fan out. These magnets are therefore suitable both for separating stacked sheet metal stacks and for handling irregularly shaped, asymmetrical parts. Sheet metal spreading magnets can also overcome adhesion caused by sticky residues such as grease, oil, or other substances between the individual sheets.

Depending on the requirement for single- or double-sided spreading, one or more systems can be mounted on the side. The same magnetic induction in the superimposed sheets causes them to repel each other, allowing them to be safely destacked either manually or automatically.
